Book Signing

Saturday was my book signing here locally. As I was driving to the store, my stomach was in knots. Now I wasn't a bit nervous at the book signing at Emerald City, but here where everyone knows me- I was getting downright petrified!

Once I arrived, was set up, and my best friend, first reader, and biggest fan showed up with extras in tow, the nerves went away and I had a great time talking with everyone who came to buy my book and congratulate me.

It's at something like this that you find out who you've met along the way that you've impacted enough they would come and support you. I wasn't the least bit surprised by the people who turned out. All have been supportive of my 4-H involvement AND have gotten to know me as a friend. I feel blessed to have that many friends and not just acquaintances in my life.

Thank you everyone who has supported me as a writer and a friend!

Photos will be up on my web site shortly, or when my daughter can get to it.

Aw, Paty, that was such a sweet post!

So happy that your signing went well. I was thinking about you and I've wondered all weekend how it went. It's great that you have so much support!

Congratulations on your first "scary" signing! LOL

Woohoo! So glad the book signing went well! Be sure to bring a couple copies to the beach so some of us who didn't get them earlier can get a copy. ;)

When are you having a signing in Salem?

We are still dickering with Borders for the signing in Salem. You have to go through a regional person to set them up and he takes his dear sweet time in getting back to you! But I'll let you all know when it happens.

I also plan to set up one in January or February in Enterprise (where I grew up) and another one here in Bend, but hopefully at Barnes and Nobels. I'm working on that.
