Pulled too many ways

Eli has said several times she can't write more than one book at a time. Right now, I'm being pulled by three! I sent a contest entry to Harlequin for my contemporary cowboy book, so now I feel compelled to get the changes I put in the synopsis into the book, I'm still working out the second Halsey book in my head, and my heart is still with the second book of the spirit trilogy.

Talk about feeling pulled and not having enough time! I don't want to bake for Christmas giving. We got the tree tonight, and I am sitting here on the computer instead of decorating the tree. I figure I'll get to it tomorrow after I've worked on one of the books. I also have to get busy with some editing. I have stuff for TWRP to get done. The good news is what I have to read for them I am excited about reading! They are fulls I requested and am anxious to see what happens in the stories.

Too much to do and too little time! Does anyone else out there work on more than one book at a time? Or am I the only lunatic!

Nope, you're a lunatic.

:)

Actually, I think it's a skill all published authors have to be able to do - consider the fact you could be working on page proofs and edits for one book, a rough draft for another, a proposal for a third.

You're way ahead of the game, Paty.

I'm trying to do that right now, but it's not working well because I'm not working on either :P. But I agree with Eli, you have to be able to do it. So keep practicing at it now! I sure am.

Thanks Eli and Lisa.

Yeah, I dropped everything else with the first two published books and worked exclusively on them. But I'm trying to keep things going on a couple of things at once, because they are all in different stages.

My biggest fear is harlequin will like the contemporary and expect more!!! Those I don't have a backlog of!
