I've been invited to attend Roseburg's Celebration of Literacy on February 9th. Their talking about a book signing and perhaps a chance to read or speak. All the details haven't been nailed down yet.
Traveling around the state, visiting with people, and scouring the countryside for perhaps the next setting for a book is something I enjoy. I have plans for a couple of contemporaries that will require some travel to do the research to make the stories real.
I'm not sure if I could write a book if I couldn't physically set foot on the area in the story. Just a little side note. Yes, at times I can feel a little other-wordly! LOL
Do you think it comes though in books if an author hasn't done her research about a place or an occupation?
