MIA

Sorry, I've been missing. I've been at my son's place in Anchorage, AK and without internet. It was a hard four days not being connected to my blog, my friends, and my publisher!

And now I'm stuck waiting for a late flight that will make me miss my connection to actually get home today. I'll be put up in a hotel for the night and take the first flight out of Seattle in the morning for home.

After nearly two weeks of fitful sleep, a night alone in a hotel without kids crying or peopling yelling during the night sounds downright peaceful. But I was looking forward to spending the night next to my husband tonight.

On the writing front, I've gotten a lot done the last two weeks. While taking care of my daughter's children while she was having a C-section, I managed to get about 8,000 words written and then this week at my son's with no internet, I'd put my grandkids down to bed and then write until I was tired. (My son works nights) and I managed another 8,000 words. This book is becoming together and I'm looking forward to the black moment and the HEA. I've grown fond of my hero and heroine. I hope all of you do too when it is published.

Hi Paty,

Good for you for getting so much writing done! Sorry to hear about the late flight, bummer, but a night alone could be rejuvenating after all you’ve been through the past couple of weeks. (And make tomorrow night all the more enjoyable!)

Safe travels!
