Friday Faves- Reviews, blogging, and more!

Well, something that wasn't so fave this week, the rattlesnakes seem to be following me! The other night my dh and I drove the Isuzu pickup up from the barn here at our place in Central Oregon right at dark. We crossed the cattle guard by the house and my dh said, "Do you hear that?" I listened and it sounded like a rattle snake. "I think it's over there, by the flower bed," said DH. "I'll get a shovel and you turn the pick up around and flash the lights over there." I did as I was told and there, coiled up next to the rock border, was a rattlesnake. DH killed it, cut the head off and buried it, and then tossed the body in the back of his pick up to take to work. It was 36 inches long and had 7 buttons on its rattle. Then he called everyone he knew to tell them. We have never seen a rattlesnake on this property and the man who owned it before us said he's never seen one either. I don't know if we brought it from Princeton with us in something or if, like the news says, the heat has brought them out where they normally aren't.

Okay, faves:
I received a 5 heart review from The Romance Studio for Miner in Petticoats.

I'm blogging at Emma Lai Writes today so stop by there and see what kind of questions she asked me.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Congratulations on the great review for your book.
Here in Arizona, it is against the law to kill rattlesnakes. Snakes in general are a fear of mine and especially ones that are posionous doesn't mean I don't like them. ugh I try to stear clear of them.

My son-in-law works out among the people alot, and he said the old-timers are telling him that the rattlesnakes are going to be bad this year.
Congrats on the review of your book.

Why is it against the law to kill rattlesnakes in Arizona??

August is a hot month!

I can remember when we lived in Texas we used to go out at night and shoot rattlesnakes. Of course now you can't do that.August

Hey Susan, Yes! I've had too many encounters with rattle snakes this summer. I think it's enough to last me the rest of my life.
Thanks for stopping by and the congrats.

Congrats on the good review!

We've had rattlesnakes at our 5 acres here in the Florida Panhandle. Makes me worry about our dogs. We haven't had any yet this August.

Hey Paty! Such a brave man! Hmmm...you very well could have hauled it home from here. I've only seen one this year and it was up on the hill while out riding.

Now I'm very intrigued with your writing and need to read a few of you books...winter is coming!

We had fun visiting with you guys and the King's 'round the campfire last evening too!
