It's funny that until someone suggested it, I never entertained the idea of writing a romance with a firefighter in it. Growing up in a firefighter's family was so much a part of me, it wasn't until I grew up and had a family of my own that I could look back at my experiences with a fresh eye. Firefighters are a unique subculture! And having a father as a firefighter was scary at times. It can be a dangerous job. My father was severely injured a couple of times (smoke inhalation and broken back),and I remember those visits to the hospital!Patti Sherry-Crewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07239195135892487184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13024760.post-76385582477960164872017-06-12T12:35:01.586-07:002017-06-12T12:35:01.586-07:00Great to learn more about firefighters, Patti! When I was growing up it didn't occur to me that our lifestyle was a little bit different from other families in that my father didn't work a 9 to 5 job. He lived part time at the station. I have fond memories of visiting him there. Firefighters are heroes, no doubt about that! Andi, I love work with you and all the authors in this anthology! I'm glad we both got a chance to write sequels to our existing stories.Patti Sherry-Crewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07239195135892487184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13024760.post-40334760986928164512017-06-12T06:49:58.628-07:002017-06-12T06:49:58.628-07:00Thanks so much, Paty, for hosting Patti and A Cowb... Thanks so much, Paty, for hosting Patti and A Cowboy to Keep --Patti has been great to work with and her story is a super sequel to Desert Heat. I can't imagine what it would be like to have firemen in the family--somewhat scary I should think--but she captures that life wonderfully. Thanks so much for showcasing A Cowboy to KeepAndrea Downinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11553961600937196102noreply@blogger.com
