After the pithy rejection from Avon that they are not interested in American Historicals because they don't sell, I perused the RWR and found a couple other houses that are looking for American Historicals - the only catch - You have to be agented to submit to them! And agents aren't wanting to take on American Historicals because most houses don't want them! Sheesh! What a vicious circle.
Here's to hoping my paranomal American Historical can pull in an agent and an editor and then readership and I CAN sell all the American Historicals I have piling up!
Back to my pitch and manuscript.

Hey J,
I totally admire your sticktoitivness.
You're so positive and up-beat all the time about writing and selling and all the crap that goes with it.
I hope when I finally decide to go forward with trying to get published I can have the tenacious attitude that you have.
Right now I would just like to find my direction and go with it. I'm getting there though. Today has been a good day.
You're going to be a great Pres! What a team we have, I just think it's so awesome!
Keep at it!
Piper
Yikes. How frustrating.
I think once you're pubbed you have a lot more leeway in what you can write (God, I hope so!).
