Nationals and stuff

I'm back! Had a blast at Nationals and wish I could have posted during the week, but I'm cheap and refused to fork out the $10 a day to use the internet. If you want to read a whole blow by blow of my week you can go to: http://www.mwvrwa.blogspot.com/

This is a photo of me at the Literacy Signing at Nationals. Next to me is WRP author Helen Hardt. Who I hung out with a lot and had a wonderful time getting to know.

Here are the high spots of my trip. I met some wonderful new friends and reconnected with some old ones. I had a request for the new western series from an agent and a full of the contemporary from an editor. I learned what other agents are looking for westerns and I will be using Fridays to spotlight the five things various agents talked about at a large agent panel I attended. So stay tuned for that if you are a writer!

It was fun to talk with fellow Wild Rose Press authors and I met some of the editors as well.

Now that I'm back I have the edits I received from my editor for Miner to get done and to write up cover letters to send out with the requested material.

What did you do last week? I feel like I've been on another planet. I can't believe there are so many people in one place as I witnessed in the Union Square in San Francisco! I now know I would never make it in a large city. I didn't like the crush of people, the noise, or the uncaring attitude.

It's good to be home!

Hey Lady!

Welcome back! I read your day by day blog, sounds like you had a great time, but what was the deal with a shared bathroom? Did you step back in time? LOL.

What did I do while you were gone??? I bought a new car! A red, convertible MUSTANG! It is adorable! With everything going on around here, I haven't got a picture of it yet, but will blog about it as soon as I do. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday!

Hi Helen! You were fun to hang with! I took a peek at your blog. NICE pics! But then after the little show we had at lunch that one day, I should have known you'd have the goods! LOL

Lauri,

You turkey!! You got a red, Mustang convertible before me! LOL Just for the record my heroine in the latest WIP loves Mustangs too!

And yes, I did step back in time, to an old Hotel! It was like living in a hostel.

We are way too much alike! The heroine in Badland Bride has a red, Mustang convertible too!

When we finally meet in person, we'll have to drive around with the top down. (The cars not ours!)

My husband made me tell one of my best friends that she's not Thelma and I'm not Louise! LOL

Great pics! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

I enjoyed the chapter blog, too--gosh, I've seen bigger rooms on a cruise ship, LOL. I think I'd have been claustrophobic in there!

Glad you're back, I missed my daily Paty fixes while you were gone!

BTW--call me un-American but my dream car is a BMW convertible, rather than a Mustang. That's why I chose one for Derek in Model Man even though he could afford something pricier. *G*

Vroom vroom!!!
