Brrrrrrrrrrr

It's seven degrees here this morning and they're calling for it to get colder before it gets warmer. We brought the outside dogs in. They are now comfortably lounging in the utility room. There are two more cows to calve. I hope they wait until the weather warms up.

Over the weekend I made some of my goodies I give the neighbors and friends. We also went Christmas shopping on Saturday evening. One of the stores we wanted to go to was closing when we arrived. You'd think with the Holiday season and everyone crying they aren't selling enough they would stay open until 8 or 9 pm on a Saturday night. I now have only a few little things and our parents to buy for.

Parents are the hardest. They'll mention something they need and the next time you talk to them they've bought it. Audio tapes worked for my dad for several years, but he doesn't drive as much as he used to, so it would take him forever to finish a book with only a ten minute trip to town and back. What do you get your parents for Christmas? Any suggestions?

Hope your holiday preparations are going well.

Oh, it's not that cold here. We are in the teens! I have a few things to get yet, but have made a good dent in my list.

For the past several years, I've bought my parents, (more recently, my mother) a subscription to the Mpls/St.Paul Star Tribune. They've always read the daily paper and love it.
