Wow! What a weekend. It was full of family and festivities.
Saturday afternoon six adults(great grandma, great uncle, great aunt, grandma, and two moms) supervised 5 children coloring eggs.
Saturday evening we celebrated my husband's birthday with a rattlesnake cake made by our daughters. We had ten adults and five kids.
And Sunday morning! Great grandma, great uncle, and great aunt arrived for breakfast after the children discovered the baskets left by the Easter bunny. Then after we ate, I read to the kids while the other adults hid the six dozen colored eggs and that many plastic eggs. Before the kids were let loose our oldest daughter's black lab cracked open a plastic egg, unwrapped the candy and ate it. He was locked up until after the hunt.
When things settled after the hunt, the greats helped put puzzles brought by the Easter Bunny together.
The house stopped ringing about a half hour after everyone left shortly after noon.I love the gathering and all the energy, but I also love the fact they go home!
How was your weekend?

LOL. I loved your last sentence! I can so relate to waving good-bye as the company drives away.
We had close to what you did--grandkids, kids, greats, eggs and dogs. (Just not as many grandkids--yet.)
Have a great week!
Sounds like a great time. Love the rattlesnake cake. How clever.
Thanks, Lauri! You too!
