In case you didn't see the Blog Hop logo in my sidebar...
I'm one of... 113 authors who are part of this blog hop. And we're all giving away goodies over the weekend and through Halloween night.  If you click on the logo on my sidebar it takes you to the site where you can access all the author blogs who are participating. We are all holding a contest  unique to our blog where you have to answer a question and you win a prize. Yes, a prize can be won at every author's blog! So it's Adult Trick or Treating. Knock on their blog doors and find out how you can get a treat. It's that easy!

Since it is a Halloween contest my question is:  What was your favorite Halloween costume when you were a kid? And to spice it up even more- There will be a winner a day on my blog. So four people will win a treat!

I didn't have any memorable costumes, when I was young, the standards like a princess, bat girl, cowgirl, etc. that was pretty much me :)

Carol L. It is a fun weekend event!

Eva, my most memorable one was wearing my mom's flashy square dance dress and wearing lots of jewelry and makeup as a gypsy.

The one costume I remember the most was Pippi Longstoocking. My dad put coat hangers in my ponitails so my hair would stand at crazy angles. And I even remember dressing like Raggedy Ann. Such fun memories.

My parents moved a good bit and one house had this stash of old dresses. I picked out a beautiful one and said I was a bridesmaid. I was in third grade at the time.

Now, as a high school junior, I took one of my mom's old Grant's Restaurant uniforms and made my youngest sister a Pilgrim outfit. I don't know how many people remember the old Grant's stores and their restaurants which were called The Bradford House. I guess the restaurant's name tells you what her waitress uniform looked like.

This Blog Hop is a fun idea! I've always loved Trick-or-Treating. My favorite costume was the year I was a ballerina.

The best costume idea I've seen is one year when neighbors came to the house and the four year old boy was a dragon and his one year old sister a princess. Extremely cute!

Paty, how fun! It might be scary, but I don't remember my childhood Halloween costumes. That's been a loooong time ago! We seemed to just wear sloppy old clothes and paint whiskers on our faces. Easy stuff with what was on hand, but nothing particularly memorable.

Thanks for the great memories! My parents went to a lot of Chinese lantern parties and I wore one of mom's Oriental robes (cut down, of course) for Halloween with some wonderful makeup.

My sister and I went as Santa and Mrs. Clause LOL. We thought it'd be cute to be Christmas characters during such a spooky night.

I was a cowgirl...an Annie Oakley version...I liked being tough!

My favorite costume was a princess one that had a blong wig and a big, pink tulle skirt. I wore it for several Halloweens. Unfortunately in Texas at this time of year, it's cricket season, and when I would get home and take the skirt off, there would be one or two crickets hiding out! I hate bugs!!

My favorite Halloween costume was a baby tiger mask. I remember how I had the cutest tiger mask but I couldn't wear it comfortably. When all the kids went out in the school hall to mingle and snarl and boo at each other in their masks and costumes, I had to stand aside and watch. It was disappointing.

I can remember to this day dressing up as a Geisha! I swiped Mom's silk embroidered robe, found a plain, black wig, and wore flip-flops. I was gorgeaous as only an eleven year old can think!

I'm from the UK and we don't really celebrate Halloween in the same way. I think I only went Trick or Treating a couple of times, as a kid I'd rather stay in reading... no different to now! LOL.

Fun blog hop! My favorite was when I dressed as a witch, used green eyeshadow to make my face green, and I laid in a coffin my dad made to hand out candy. I'd open my eyes and scare the older kids when they reached in.

The good ole' days!

I've always loved Trick-or-Treating. What a fun adult way of doing it all from my easy chair:}

I remember my mom had these old cocktail dresses. (you know the kind from the 50's) I dressed up in one of them and my mom got me a pair of those little girl dress up mules. I told everyone I was Jackie Kennedy.

Having a hopping good time trick or treating! It’s great visiting with old friends and finding new authors and books to add to my wish list. <^_^>

Thank you for being part of the hop AND for the chance to win!

Love this giveaway. I only remember one costume that I wore as a kid. It was Glunda the good witch of the North from The Wizard of Oz.

My favorite as a kid was the Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes my mom made for us! I still have mine, and my daughter wore it a few years back, so adorable.

The only costume I remember from my childhood was Casper. Basically I wore a sheet tied around my neck & one of those cheap plastic face masks. My mom was not the queen of imagination. lol

The only costume I can really remember is bugs bunny. I remember trying to see out of those tiny little eye holes, and chewing on the mouth. Shhhhh! don't tell on me. Those were the days before the makeup on the faces. We wore plastic masks that covered up our entire face. And I don't really remember a time limit. But I am old.

I think todays winner should be me. You did ask. I would rather win, then let someone else win. LOL.
You are a new author for me and would love to win and read your book. Awesome blog.
I think the best costume I had when I was a kid was when I dressed up as Medusa. I was in 4th grade and loved great gods, goddess, and mytholoy. I thought it was an awesome costume. Some people did not know who I was. Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win.

I think my favorite costume growing up was when I was a cowgirl. My mom used to make all my costumes and this one was pretty elaborate. She put tulle under the skirt. I had boots, a vest, lasso and hat. I loved it!

Thanks!
