Secret Santa Blog Hop

By following this Blog hop and leaving an email address you can wind a Kindle Fire and books.   The hop continues through the 19th with a winner posted here on the 20th. Hop info http://tabithablake.blogspot.com/p/secret-santa-blog-hop.html

I have a Christmas novella titled Christmas Redemption.

Blurb
Van Donovan returns to Pleasant Valley, Oregon where twelve years earlier as a boy of fifteen he left in handcuffs after standing guard for a bank robbery. He's learned a trade and excelled at it and is ready to prove to his father and the town he can amount to something.

Upon his return he learns the fate of the daughter of an innocent man who died in the robbery crossfire. To make amends, he takes her out of the saloon and gives her a job, not realizing she'd been squatting in the very building he'd purchased for his business.

Can two battered hearts find solace or will the past continue to haunt their lives?

This story came to me after I'd read about a man who as a teen helped in a robbery, did his time, and in later years became the manager of the very same bank he'd robbed as a youth. I didn't want my hero to come back and work in the bank. He was raised on a farm, and I wanted to give him a trade. So, he is a bootmaker.

How to win a Kindle Fire
There are three things you can do to give yourself a better chance at winning the Kindle Fire hd 7". 1) leave a comment, 2) answer my question at the end, 3) follow my blog.  By doing all three things you're name will be entered in the drawing three times for this one stop.

By doing one of those three things, I'll pick a name on the 20th and give the winner their choice of one of my books in ebook format.

My question is: What is Van Dononvan's occupation?

Hi Paty,
You wrote that Donovan becomes a bootmaker. I love that you were inspired by a real life story about a guy who helped in a bank robbery and then became the manager of the bank he once helped to rob in his youth. Speaking about a karmic twist. Compassion is a very important element to have in characters. I wish more people possessed the trait as well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
