Rejections fire me up!

I received a rejection for my contemporary yesterday. At first I simmered, after all, this was going to be how I broke into the publishing scene. But after rereading the rejection ( at least it wasn't a form letter or thanks but no thanks) they took the time to tell me exactly why they didn't want it.

And as my profile says "If someone says I can't - I will darn well prove to them I can". So as I cleaned house this morning I kept thinking of the things they didn't like. And came up with a more emotional story and hopefully more conflict that isn't contrived or convienent.

So - you guessed it - the paranormal is going to the side while I work out this new story line for the contemporary and incorporate it! I just can't turn down a challenge!
