My workshop will be: Characters of the West. I had started gathering information when I proposed the workshop. When I didn't hear back, I figured I wasn't picked and dropped the ball on putting it all together. Now, I'm gathering the information all together and deciding the most useful information and how to package it in an entertaining way.
But before I can really sink my teeth in and put this workshop together, I have to put the finishing touches on the one I'm giving to my RWA chapter in May. So besides writing and all my other duties, I'm whipping together two workshops.
If you've attended workshops what were some things the instructor did that made it memorable other than the information? Her personality, the introduction of information, goodies, freebies....

For me, if the instructor can manage to put forth the info in a way that doesn't put me to sleep, LOL, I'm grateful. Nothing worse than going to a workshop only to hear someone drone on in a monotone, or just read from a handout. I want anecdotes and trivia--things to lighten the mood and liven things up.
I'm not too worried about anyone being bored by any workshop you're giving, though, LOL. Not gonna happen.
Thanks Nic! I'm going to try and give interesting info in a fun way.
