All about Promotion

Worked on promotion over the weekend. This time of year many RWA chapters have conferences and request items to put in goodie bags for the attendees. I printed out address labels with my book cover, a one sentence blurb, website, and release date and stuck them on mini Hershey bars. It seems like everyone likes to get chocolate, but I also know the wrappers are a throwaway item. ~sigh~ I've noticed, too, lots of people will also throw away nice book marks or post cards. I hope if they are intrigued by the info on the wrapper they'll keep the wrapper long enough to write down the info or at least look me up.

I have a week long promotion blitz scheduled for the week of June 25th(release day of Doctor in Petticoats) to July 5th. I'll be blogging on 10 blogs and will hold a contest during that time. So stay tuned, I'll put the info up on this blog and my website in June.

My goal this week is to get 50 or more pages written on the WIP. Stay tuned for the Friday blog to see if I make it!

Hi Paty,

Heard on TwoLips you had updated your site, just came by to visit.

I think the chocolates sound like a great idea but I understand your concerns. I was thinking maybe of doing fridge magnets sometime...

Hi Chloe, I tried the magnets before. I didn't care for them, but it could have just been the type I used.

Great idea with the chocolate! Promo is a killer, though...takes too much time away from writing. Best of luck getting your 50 pps. done!
