Funky Friday

I didn't write this blog and set it to post last night because I was hoping for an inspiration to hit me to write about. That obviously didn't happen so you're going to get me rambling about various things, the weather, my writing, and me.

To start the weather is getting annoying. We woke the last two mornings to new snow on the ground. Not inches but enough to remind you Mother Nature is holding out on spring. This morning the sky is filled with gray billowy clouds and not my cheerful sunshine. I love a snowy day with sunshine. But I despise the gray gloomy days. I"m thinking all these natural disasters have nudged earth off it's usual axis. Even last night the tiny crescent moon was in plain sight out our bedroom window where I've only witnessed it there in the morning before not when I went to bed. What's with that? Of have I not been completely observant?

My writing. I had a nice compliment from my oldest daughter who two weeks ago read my jungle book I'm shopping to agents and then this week she read Outlaw in Petticoats to help me figure out where to add to it as I get it ready to re-release myself on Kindle and Smashwords. Her compliment was, "Wow I could really tell how much stronger your writing has become." And that's what it's all about. My writing improving with each book.

Then I received 5 hearts from Dee at The Romance Studio for Bridled Heart. "From feeling like part of the 'in' crowd at the rodeo to enjoying Holt's ranch, there's a lot of good things that make this book a great read. The characters all become human with their frailties, evil, special ways and all that makes them live on the pages and in our mind. Everyone who has a man like Holt will feel special and those who don't may just read it again to enjoy him more. From an empty feeling to a chance to fulfill your dreams is as wild a ride as any in the rodeo. Jager does this one just right."

Today and tomorrow I'll be judging a 4-H food skills contest locally. I enjoy judging 4-H contests and visiting with the kids. I was a 4-H leader for 20 years and worked int eh Extension office as a 4-H program assistant for many years so it's kind of like going home when I judge.

What are your plans for the weekend?
