Enjoyable Weekend

I didn't get a whole lot of writing done over the weekend, but I co-facilitated a critique workshop that went well and one of the attendee's said he read my first book and enjoyed it. It's always a high note when someone mentions they liked your book. That is after all why I write them. That and to get the voices out of my head! LOL

Sunday we attended a 50th birthday party for a friend and another person brought up my books and how much she enjoyed them and wanted to know when the next one was coming out. And at a dinner at my mother in law's house another person asked me about my books. So even though I didn't get much writing done, I PR'd and received positive feedback to keep me pouring the words onto the page.

ON Friday I brainstormed and hashed out the book I'm writing with Lauri Robinson. It is going to be fun if I ever finish the book I'm working on and can get writing it.

I'm anxious for my blog date to come up for the Cactus blog and the Seduced by History. I've learned some more great stuff while I've been researching for my current WIP and I'm ready to share. I'll be at he Cactus blog on the 19th and the Seduced blog on the 24th.

Wednesday Promo

I entered the first line of my WIP in Karin Tabke's "First Line" contest. It's on her blog it you want to take a look at all the great first lines.

This Friday I'm guest blogging at Nicole McCaffrey's blog. I still need to come up with a topic. Shhh... Don't tell Nicole!

On Tuesday I'm blogging at the Cactus Rose blog. There have been some great blogs on this site. The Cactus Rose authors have posted about some interesting topics. Also Tuesday night, December 16th is when they announce the winner of the Sony eReader contest. Wednesday Promo- not much

I've put out feelers that I'm looking for other authors to let me know when their stuff is coming out to promote on this blog on Wednesdays. So far I've had one person contact me and she wants to wait until her release dates, so you get the same old stuff about me.

I blogged on the RWA chapter blog on Monday- Yesterday I dropped off posters to the book store where I have my book signing on November 7th. I need to get posters to the other book store for the signing on the 8th.

The local writer's group- Central Oregon Writers Guild, is hosting their Fall Literary Harvest this Friday, October 17th in Redmond at the Comfort Suites. Local writers submitted work that was judged and ten people will be reading their work on Friday night.

Next Tuesday I'm blogging on the Cactus Rose blog. My topic is Cowboy Cussin'. I've been researching the topic looking for new and different ways for my heroes to express themselves. ;)
